James Hamilton is a solicitor at Shine Lawyers in Christchurch. He graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2022 with a law and arts degree, with a major in political science and minor in economics. He studied for a semester on exchange at Sciences Po in Reims, France.
James began working with Shine Lawyers in 2022 and was admitted to the bar in September 2022. Prior to working at Shine, he worked as a summer law clerk at a large Christchurch law firm and has experience in the tourism industry.
James assists clients with navigating insurance law, construction disputes, relationship property, employment law, civil litigation and other areas of law. He has a strong eye for detail and is determined to help his clients find clear and pragmatic solutions whilst recognising that all situations require unique solutions.
Outside of working for Shine Lawyers, James is a territorial soldier in the New Zealand Army.
